New IntelliTrack Solution Gives Asset Locations Real-Time Visibility

Asset tracking and inventory control software developer IntelliTrack just launched a new real-time locating system (RTLS) at the Barcoding Inc. Executive Forum in Baltimore. The system makes use of built-in motion detection and temperature detection to provide highly detailed information. It also takes advantage of the company’s StratusAssets cloud asset tracking software and Bluetooth Low Energy asset beacons to give companies access to real-time visibility of inventory and assets.

The solution is particularly suited to universities, public safety departments, law enforcement, hospitals, warehouse distribution centers, and other businesses with a need to keep track of physical assets.

Instant mobile notifications can alert users to the movement of assets so the situation can be quickly corrected if an item is moved by the wrong person or at the wrong time. Users can also log into the encrypted StratusAssets application to get a visual view of each item’s location.

Breaking New Ground

IntelliTrack Business Development Manager Noel McKeon pointed out that nothing else currently on the market provides the built-in ability to pinpoint an asset’s motion and presence along with its temperature and the identity of the party that is moving it.

The asset beacons used by the solution can also be read using Android and iOS smartphones as well as mobile computers, giving the ability to track assets to everyone in the enterprise who needs it.

According to an official press release, the RTLS application can not only help determine hundreds of assets’ locations and temperatures in a matter of seconds, but it can also increase the accuracy of a business’s inventory counts and help curb asset loss. It can also cut down on the amount of time needed to track down assets, and it provides a useful look of asset lifecycles.

The company will be offering a subscription-based model to keep pricing affordable and make implementation easy.
