FIFO (First In First Out) Picking |
Used in conjunction with product expiration date. IntelliTrack
WMS lists the locations of items being shipped in the order
of their expiration date, and prompts the user to pick
items in expiration date order.
For example, to put away a box of perishable items into
location 1A11 with an expiration date or received date
of 3/16/2004 and another box of the same perishable items
into location 1B11 on 4/20/2004, location 1A11 is listed
first when selecting a location to pick from when picking
an order with this item. |
